SUBJECT: Citation of Unit
THROUGH: Commanding officer, 26th Infantry

TO : Commanding Officer, Company E, 26th Infantry

Company E, 26th infantry is cited for outstanding performance of duty in action in the vicinity of Djebel Halfa, Tunisia. January 28, 1943.

"While moving to the assistance of another company, Company E contacted the flank of an enemy forces attempting an encirclement. Company E attacked with great force, inflicting extremely heavy casualties on the enemy force and relieving critical pressure from the endangered unit."
